UNU-CRIS Director Ad Interim Philippe De Lombaerde today took part in the Asia Economic Community Forum 2020 in a hybrid format from Seoul, South Korea. The AECF 2020 Forum is a gathering of leaders in the fields of academia, politics and business from all over the world hosted by the Asia Economic Community Foundation (AECF).
His presentation, titled “From Old Regionalism to New Regionalism, and Back?”, took place in the framework of the "Political Economy of Regional Integration from the Comparative Perspective of Northeast Asia and Europe" session together with Gerard Roland (UC Berkeley) and Won-soo Kim (former UN Under-Secretary-General), following the keynote address by former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
