Simon Schunz, UNU-CRIS Research Fellow, is attending European Workshops in International Studies, 6-8 April 2016, University of Tübingen

UNU-CRIS Research Fellow, Dr. Simon Schunz, will participate in the European Workshops in International Studies (EWIS) 2016, at the University of Tübingen, Germany, between 6 and 8 April 2016. In the framework of a workshop dedicated to the subject of “Geopolitics and strategic thinking in EU foreign policy”, he shall present a paper on “Strategy and the EU’s environmental foreign policy”.

The paper explores to what extent EU external action in the environmental domain has been informed by geopolitics and strategic thinking. It fits into the workshop’s overarching theme, which is devoted inter alia to the study of empirically grounded accounts of the way EU foreign policy is shaped by strategic considerations.
