Special Issue on Regions without Borders? Regional Governance, Migration and Social Protection in Africa and Europe
This special issue (Volume 3, Issue 3) looks at Europe and regions within Africa to shed light on the state of regional migration and social cohesion. This collection of articles is based upon contributions made by experts and scholars who participated in the international conference "Regional Governance of Migration and Social Policy: Comparing European and African Regional Integration Policies and Practices" held at the University of Pretoria in 2012.
Sonja Nita (former UNU-CRIS Researcher) wrote an article on Regional Free Movement of People: The Case of African Regional Economic Communities, whereas Lorenzo Fioramonti, UNU-CRIS Associate Research Fellow, provided the round table report: Advancing Regional Social Integration, Social Protection, and the Free Movement of People in Southern Africa.
