UNU-CRIS Director Signs Agreements in Mexico City in the First Steps Towards a Lasting and Impactful Presence in the Region
A key component of the revitalised United Nations University Strategy 2025–2029 is greater visibility and impact through expansion and outreach. In service of this priority, UNU-CRIS is currently exploring the creation of research hubs in various regions around the world.
Our Director, Philippe De Lombaerde, recently visited Mexico City, a natural hub for the promotion of research activities on North and Central American regionalisms and home to a rich and international community of regionalism scholars spread over several institutions.
During this visit, initial MoUs were signed with UN ECLAC and CIDE and contacts were established at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (CIALC) and El Colegio de México, in a first step towards developing a lasting and impactful UNU-CRIS presence.
We look forward to further developing activities and deepening collaboration in Mexico, with and for the region.
