UNU-CRIS will joint the Final Event of the ATLANTIS, EU-CIP and SUNRISE Projects

29 September 2025

UNU-CRIS is pleased to take part in the Joint Final Event of the ATLANTIS, EU-CIP, and SUNRISE projects on Critical Infrastructure Resilience, taking place on 29 September 2025 (12:00–18:00) at the Maison des Associations Internationales, Brussels.

Under the theme “Collaborate, Innovate, Anticipate, Protect – A European Blueprint for Resilient Infrastructure”, this event will bring together leading experts, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss how Europe can strengthen its capacity to protect critical infrastructure in the face of evolving hybrid threats.

As part of its advisory role to ATLANTIS, UNU-CRIS will contribute to the policy and strategy panel discussion. Dr. Nidhi Nagabhatla will join distinguished panelists to address three pressing questions:

  • From Research to Policy: How can projects such as ATLANTIS, EU-CIP, and SUNRISE ensure their results are integrated into EU policy rather than remaining pilot initiatives?
  • Standards and Interoperability: What barriers prevent harmonisation across Europe’s critical infrastructure, and how can policy accelerate progress?
  • Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs): How can stronger PPPs enhance both cyber and physical resilience in the face of complex threats?

The discussion will draw on insights from the ATLANTIS Policy Briefs, available here: Building Europe’s Resilience – ATLANTIS Policy Briefs.

By engaging in this dialogue, UNU-CRIS reaffirms its commitment to bridging research and policy, and to supporting European and global efforts in safeguarding critical infrastructure systems
